Ryan Fredericks / Free / West Ham
Not likely to be a difference maker but Scott Parker knows Fredericks well from time together at Fulham and will be hoping he can provide a good level of cover at right-back. 2/5
Joe Rothwell / Free / Blackburn
Racked up 10 assists for Blackburn last year but not someone that seemed a Premier League player in waiting. Likely to serve as second fiddle to the likes of Phillip Billing and Ryan Christie. 2/5
Marcus Tavernier / £12m / Middlesbrough
Tavernier is a versatile addition having proven to be adept in both central midfield and left wing-back and he should suit Scott Parker's switch to a wing-back system well. He was a standout talent for Middlesbrough last term and can make a smooth transition to the top flight football. 4/5
Neto / Free / Barcelona
An experienced goalkeeper who has been at Juventus and Barcelona as a backup, also capped once for his country but may need time to get up to speed after making just 12 appearances in the last three years. 3/5
Marcos Senesi / £13.5m / Feyenoord
The Argentina international fills a massive need for the Cherries at centre-back and arrives having impressed for Feyenoord thanks to his proactive approach and strong reading of the game. If the 25-year-old has a weakness it's that he can get caught out of position and lacks the recovery pace to make amends. 3/5
Gary Cahill
Released
Bournemouth have only had a player hit double figures for goals in two of their previous five seasons in the Premier League but return with Dominic Solanke primed to buck that trend after netting 29 Championship goals last term
Bournemouth have lost Gary Cahill from a defence that kept a league-best 21 clean sheets in the Championship - as many shut outs as they managed in their three most recent Premier League seasons combined.
Scott Parker has a win rate of 54 per cent as Bournemouth boss but is yet to prove himself at this level having won only 17 per cent of his matches as a Premier League manager.
Discipline remains an issue for Jefferson Lerma, who collected 23 bookings in just 63 Premier League games previously, while he accumulated eight yellows and two red cards last season
Bournemouth proved too strong for everyone except Fulham in last season’s Championship but it was far from an emphatic promotion back to the Premier League and they arrive in the top flight with a few talent deficits. While topscorer Dominic Solanke looks ready to make the step up, they may lack the necessary quality in defence and midfield to survive.
