Leicester were the first side since 2015/16 to win the same amount of games as they lost last year, 14 each.
The return of some key defenders from injury should help Leicester tighten up at the back with no side having played in more matches where both teams found the net last season than the Foxes (26 of 38).
Leicester remain heavily reliant on 35-year-old Jamie Vardy’s goals. Vardy has scored at least 13 league goals in his last seven seasons, netting 15 in an injury-hit 2021/22 campaign.
Leicester have only failed to finish in the top-half of the table once in the last seven seasons.
Leicester may have fallen away from top-four contention but they remain a good team and should comfortably finish in the top half once more. The ageless Jamie Vardy continues to produce the goods and the injury problems that slowed them down last term will ease without a European campaign to stretch the squad.
