Brighton are still to find that regular goalscorer they need to push on having finished last season with an expected goals figure of 54 but actually scoring only 42 times.
Home was not where the heart was for Brighton last season as they placed fifth in the league's final away table but 16th in the home standings.
Brighton need to be more streetwise when it comes to finishing teams off with no side having drawn more Premier League games (15) than the Seagulls last season.
Leandro Trossard averaged over two shots per game in the Premier League as he enjoyed his best goalscoring season for Brighton, netting eight times.
Brighton achieved their highest top-flight finish in 2021-22 but it would be asking a lot of Graham Potter's side to improve on that given the club's modest budget. That said, if they can find a goalscorer, another season of consolidation could be on the cards and they look set to finish comfortably in mid-table.
